1.5 Edition!
Hello all! After many sleepless hours, I am ready to present the new update!
As stated before, much has been added and moved around, so please check any characters you have created. I will give the highlights.
- Ipotanes have been reworked and redesigned.
- Several classes had their Features rewritten or even replaced.
- The Splitter has been changed into the Spagyrist and completely reworked.
- New Position: Shepherd. A precision marksman with expertise in piloting merkavot and handling ofanim.
- Melee weapons have special Techniques to make them feel more unique.
- Tonics, Spells, and Rituals have unique Critical Fail effects. Some Spells and Rituals have new names that make their functions a little easier to guess. Additionally, some Rituals have been demoted to Spells
- New Spells like Excavate, Broadcast, Scatter, Shrapnel, Denying Zone, Pictreka's Shimmering Fog, etc.
- New Rituals like Container, Orate, Artifice, Cartographer, Glean Circuitry, Greater Summon, Sieve, etc.
- I have clarified or tweaked several rules in the Merkava section; Heat is a new mechanic and Maneuvers (special actions a pilot can take if they know it) have been implemented.
- A handful of new Merkava weapon modules have been added.
- Armors have been given more effects, several Uncommon Armors were pulled into the Mundane list.
- Tonic Synthesis has been tweaked to be more abstract/generic, as well as mesh with the Spagyrist's mechanics.
- Enchanting has been tweaked, Glitches have been better defined, and a new Critical Fail table has been added for glitching devices that are enchanted.
- Prayer has been reworked and Affinity bonuses have been peppered throughout the races and positions.
- I have also added Cover rules which were somehow missing from all previous versions.
What's next?
Next on the chopping block is some fleshing out of Gehenna and Shamayim. Think of this like the Nether update, but for Rendezvous (haha). Additionally, I want to have a bestiary out some time soon. I believe a culture section is due, too, to give players a better idea of the race they are playing as.
Small changes will be coming too; notice how new art pieces are being added and some drawings are being updated/redone. This will continue. Additionally, I intend to rewrite some of the stories peppered in the book, perhaps replacing them with more explicit lore bits.
